Oh for a genuine affiliate income opportunity! That’s what thousands of new affiliate marketers must think every day as they trawl through the internet looking for that elusive x-factor laden business.
The sheer size of the market in affiliate opportunities is part of the problem. It’s easy to become mesmerised by them all, from running your car on water to building the ultimate six-pack, on ClickBank and Commission Junction, and all the others.
And there must be thousands of people just like you searching for the perfect product to promote, so you can start receiving all those hefty checks in return for all your efforts. So, remembering that you should locate your market-with-a -problem before anything else, why not focus on the very niche that you yourself are a member of – people who are desperate to make a living from affiliate marketing?
These people in many cases have no idea how to go about doing this. Others have some idea but don’t really know how to go about things. So let’s consider exactly what it is that they want and need to succeed.
The first thing has to be a web site. Okay, you may say, affiliates don’t need a web site – they simply use the affiliate site they’re given when they sign up to become an affiliate. But the truth is successful affiliates nearly always have a web site – and not only that, but a different web site for each product they promote, with its own top level domain name.
Web sites need hosting that’s both reliable and affordable for people just starting out in internet marketing. So find a suitable hosting company and sign up as an affiliate. Most hosting companies have an affiliate program paying a decent rate of commission. So that’s the first product to promote.
The second thing that nearly all successful affiliates use is an autoresponder. It’s very difficult to make many sales by selling to people who don’t know you, directly from your sales page. It’s far easier to offer something to visitors that’s either free or very low cost, in exchange for their email address. You can then follow up with useful information about their problem and your proposed solution in the form of the product you’re promoting.
So there you have it. A web site needs hosting, which is offered by dozens of companies that have generous affiliate programs. The autoresponder market is dominated by Aweber and GetResponse, both of which run very efficient and beneficial reseller programs. And, being a beginner affiliate marketer yourself, you know how to get into the minds of people in a similar position, and introduce these two vital services to them.
It doesn’t stop there. Most affiliates will also need a web page editor. Dreamweaver and XSitePro come to mind, both with their own affiliate business opportunity. The beauty of this is that most people interested in buying one of these three kinds of product will also want at least one of the other two. So you can make extra sales for no additional effort or expense.
You’ll soon find one or two more products to promote to new affiliate marketers, such as article submission software, for example, and if you’re prepared to work at it you can make a sizeable income within a few months. And all because you took the time to see the market that was right under your nose.

Is there anyway to earn money from your home computer?
October 16th, 2009 · Comment
Because of to many reason’s to list here, I am not able to find a job. I do have a computer and would really like to find a way to earn a living using my computer. I have looked the web over but everything sounds like a scam. If people could really make the money these sites have promised, then everyone would be working at home. So, If anyone knows about a legal way, (no pyramid, stuffing envelopes schemes, etc) I would love to hear about them. Thank you
